We provide a professional high-quality Non-Emergency Patient Transport Service (NEPTS), 365 days a year 24/7 for people who need to travel to and from the hospital or a medical appointment and are unable to travel without specialist support.
We aim to work with NHS Trusts, Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) and private healthcare providers to provide patient transport for ad-hoc patient journeys.
Our staff are fully trained and have experience in patient transport. We provide a patient centred service which ensures dignity, comfort and confidentiality. We learn from patient feedback in order to improve service outcomes.
This service is available for free to those that meet identified medical mobility needs. These can include the need to travel by stretcher, wheelchair or for regular visits to renal dialysis centres.
Transport is available for those who require assistance in getting to their appointments or place of care:
– Where the medical condition of the patient is such that they require the skills or support of Patient Transport Services staff on or after the journey and/or where it would be detrimental to the patient’s condition or recovery if they were to travel by other means.
– Where the patient’s medical condition impacts on their mobility to such an extent that they would be unable to access healthcare and/or it would be detrimental to the patient’s condition or recovery to travel by other means.
– Parent or guardians where children are being conveyed.
The purpose of the journeys we provide could be for outpatient attendances, those requiring renal dialysis, hospital discharge, planned admitted care, oncology appointments and transfers between hospitals.
